Digital drawing printed on transparent window decals. Brede school Domino asked me to design transparent window decals for poetry week. The children can create funny new animals by combining the different parts of the pig, horse & bird. The illustration was inspired by the poem 'Lijmen' by Dutch author Joke van Leeuwen. As far as I know there is no English translation available but here is the original version for the Dutch speakers...
Lijmen
Ik had drie beestjes,
drie beestjes van steen.
Een vogeltje,
Een veulentje,
Een varkentje.
Ze zijn gevallen.
Ze braken stuk.
Ik heb ze gelijmd.
't is bijna gelukt.
Ik heb drie beestjes,
drie beestjes van steen.
Een volentje,
Een veukentje,
Een vargeltje
